Vevay Cemetery Notice

In effort to properly maintain the Vevay Cemetery grounds and burial sites of your loved ones, the Town of Vevay respectfully requests your cooperation on the following:

1. Remove all damaged, faded and worn wreaths, artificial flowers, urns, etc.
2. Place all flowers, wreaths and decorations on headstand or base (nothing in grass).
3. Keep all shepherds hooks as near to stone possible.
4. No benches, decorations on grass.
5. Do not make any live plantings without permission of the Town Council (we cannot mow around and they will be cut down).
6. If the items are not in proper places they be removed and disposed of the Town. Anything that is of great expense will be stored in Town garage and can be picked up by family members. Contact Town Hall at 812-427-3131 for arrangements to pick up.
7. Memorial Day – Items can be set out one week prior and must be removed within ten (10) days after.
8. No decorative stone/gravel/rock on graves.
9. This will pertain to all graves and lots past and future.
10. 10.An appropriate amount of time will be given to accomplish this.
